Today, me and my co-worker João Batista, finally finished the 0.0.0.0.0.1 release
of our project: TwitSlider
TwitSlider aims to be a simplistic and easy to use Twitter client with an interesting and usable design. Its was conceived as a mobile widget using Vodafone’s modified runtime of the Opera Widget Plataform.
We’ve just submitted our widget in Betavine and Vodafone. So it’s now available to everyone.
As stated, it’s a simple client, it only shows us the tweets and lets us post messages. Nothing more!
It’s small, the main body is only a scrollable rectangle that shows avatars. Clicking on one of those avatars opens a second layer with the actual tweet.
Now that we’ve submitted the software, let’s see if it gains some popularity. If so, then will consider to continue the development.
Either way, it was a nice and important learning experience, in many aspects, and nice introduction to Jquery (which, btw, rocks!) and effective design with CSS.
Stay with some screenshots of the app running under Opera’s Widget Emulator and directly through Opera:
