New semester, new things to learn in more or less interesting courses.
This new semester, 1st semester of the 5th year of the Master in Informatics and Computing Engineering, I was given the choice to have three courses out of 25 optional ones. Oh, no! Uups, sorry students, as this is a year of transition in our syllabus, 10 out the 25 courses won’t be lectured. Oh and, by the way, those are the most interesting ones…sorry !

Anyway, I chose:
- Network and Systems Architecture and Management
- Computer Systems Security
- Knowledge Extraction and Machine Learning
The first one is the continuation of the one I had last semester, Network and Systems Architecture(great course, I might add), with an excellent professor (well, not excelent, but one that has the benefit of teaching something about his daily work, I think, turning the classes into something much more interesting).
And I just had to choose Computer Systems Security, which covers some of the subjects I love the most. Lets see if get out of it just as excited as I am now…
The third one was just all about putting aside all the choices that seemed to be so uninteresting, and I was left with this. I think it is all about Data Mining techniques (which I know nothing about) but, to be sincere, it intrigues and interests me. Think it was a good choice. Let’s wait…
