Yap, I had no issue running logwatch from terminal either.
The problem was really very strange to me, the anacron script was there and, still, it was not running…maybe something to do with the virtualization software (OpenVZ in my case)

I don’t know…hope the solution for your problem is as simple as it was for me

Thanks i,ve been having the same issues logwatch never sent the log email and i could run the /etc/cron.daily/00logwatch script no problem from the terminal.
I too am running a vps and this has been bugging me so i,ve done what you suggested and i’ll post back tommorrow and let you know.
